Schpuck Nacht

Presented by Charles J. Adams, III

Experience a chilly October evening with a waning Harvest Moon riding high as the Goschenhoppen Historians host a special autumn event.  Schpuck Nacht (Spook Night) will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Henry Antes Plantation.  The 1736 Antes House will be open for tours by candlelight from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.  Sit around a bonfire from 7:30 to 8:30 and hear local ghost stories told by the renowned ghost story collector, Charles J. Adams, III (Mr. Adams will have copies of his books available for sale).  After Mr. Adams' presentation, the House will reopen for one hour for tours and refreshments.  This is a rain or shine event.  Please bring a chair and a flashlight.

We are aware of no claims that the Antes House is haunted.  However, in 1777 General George Washington did use the house as his headquarters during the Fagleysville encampment.  Let your imagination run wild and maybe you will see his ghost!
